Called all of their US numbers and none were reachable. When checking the funding options to the account, public available info clearly says that ACH way will make funds available in one day or less. I had my BofA linked from long time ago and used it this method to make deposits many times. This time I made a deposit on Monday April 7th yet today is Thursday April 10th and there is still hold on the account and is not credited. Such a misleading promise of service!!!

Literally the worst platform I’ve used… garage customer respect.
I have been waiting for a week for a withdrawal with the message "customer response needed", I have passed the verification and nothing has changed, no one is responding to my requests, I called support every day, they all tried to help by sending requests to the financial department, but people there do not want to work, do not want to give answers to their clients, they are just wasting time, although IBKR can only hold clients' funds for 1-3 days, and I have been waiting longer than expected and I cannot understand why
This app is constantly working against you, it constantly logs out and then you have to start from the Home Screen everytime and navigate to where you were through the horrendous User interface. You’re constantly missing 30s everytime which is obviously crucial for good entries and exits. Practically unusable for anything other than closing a trade on the road urgently.
Needs ability to collapse option contracts within underlying to allow for focused sorting by expiry, profit, etc
Please add big buttons to execute on mobile like buy market buy ask sell bid is much easier
The TWS alllows user to submit order with a GTD time frame. Mobile app doesnt have this feature for some reason.
I've used just about every broker and I have to say Interactive Brokers is the least user friendly especially when it comes to multi leg options and for margin. I really think that you get what you pay for and in this instance, I'd say go with another broker unless your just doing stocks/ETFs. For derivatives, there are better brokers.
I'm trying to create an account in this Broker with my work authorization, my Florida license and my social security and they don't allow me, they ask me for a green card or American passport
It’s taken over a week to try and open an account. So far the app has been incredibly buggy. I would get stuck in loops, signed out, links would disappear and so on.
I have tried many brokerages. This one is the worst, without question. It’s so much harder than it needs to be and is stuck in many decades behind today’s capabilities. Customer service is also horrible. How is that possible with this being one of the most reputable ones around. After today I’m taking my money elsewhere, I’m completely done with it. I’ve been doing better than ever before over the past year training and THEY are now the problem causing so many different kinds of issues. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!
This app has some serious flaws. After rolling a futures position, both the old and new positions show up in the positions tab, making it unclear whether the roll was executed correctly. This leads to unnecessary confusion and second-guessing, only to realize that IB sometimes takes hours to properly update positions. For a billion-dollar firm, displaying inaccurate position data is unacceptable—this has been a persistent issue for years, yet no effort has been made to fix it. On top of that, rolling a position is unnecessarily cumbersome. Selecting strikes requires clicking and unclicking instead of using a simple slider, which would make the process far more intuitive. Additionally, if a trade is saved in the watchlist for rolling, the strikes cannot be edited—you have to start from scratch, making the workflow frustratingly inefficient. It’s disappointing that such fundamental usability issues remain unaddressed. A firm of this scale should prioritize providing traders with accurate, real-time position data and a smoother user experience.
It seems to me starting from about the time of free trading features introduced from some other brokers IB latency increased a lot. Many time the real-time quotes and my profile data can’t open and show, it used to be rare but now it’s very common. Please fix it
Debt, equity - options: all easy to execute. Safe, efficient - at the best price points around. Used for years. Excellent customer service support.
This quite literally is the worst trading app I have ever used in my entire life. It isn’t possible sometimes to login due to the multiple authentications required. Nearly impossible to even deposit money money due to the same reasons. Nearly impossible to pull out your assets due to the same reasons. They hold money over a month at a time and don’t allow you to transfer withdraw even though your cash deposited. I personally think the SEC should do an investigation to see what this company is doing with peoples money that they are allowed to hold it for the extended periods of time.

The functionality of TWS is great. Showing total dividends paid for each position would greatly help know the real total return. The massive list of all dividends ever paid in the account is not helpful. Getting a notification when a dividend is paid to the account has been by far the most popular requested feature for (3x second place) for over 2 years but still not implemented 😡
They present the trade notifications as real time, but BEWARE the trade push notifications are not real time and will cost you.
If you’re considering Interactive Brokers (IBKR) for trading, don’t. It might seem like a great choice with its low fees and “professional” appeal, but the reality is that IBKR is one of the most restrictive, frustrating, and downright anti-trader platforms out there. Here’s why: 1. No Hedging Allowed – Even in a Margin Account In a world where even Robinhood lets you hedge positions, IBKR outright bans it. You cannot hold a long call and a short call on the same ticker unless it’s in a defined spread. This means you lose the ability to actively manage risk, and instead, you’re forced to either close positions outright or expose yourself to unnecessary risk. 2. You Pay Full Margin Upfront for Spreads Unlike other brokers where spreads only require margin for the difference between strikes, IBKR forces you to post 100% of the premium for both legs upfront. This completely kills the efficiency of spreads, which are supposed to reduce margin requirements in the first place. 3. No Trading After Your Third Day Trade – Even if You Accept the PDT Risk Every other broker lets you take responsibility for your own decisions. IBKR? Nope. The moment you hit your third day trade, they disable your ability to trade for the next five days—all under the guise of “protecting you” from violating the PDT rule. •There is NO option to override this. •Even if you have the cash to cover trades, you’re locked out. •You don’t even get a warning—it just stops you cold. For a platform that markets itself as a “professional broker,” this is laughable. 4. No Control Over Settlement Rules Other brokers let you use unsettled funds or at least warn you before blocking trades. IBKR? No such luck. You’ll get hit with unexpected settlement restrictions that prevent trading even if your account is well-funded. 5. The UX Feels Like It Was Built in 1999 The interface is an absolute mess: •Clunky order execution with unnecessary steps. •Confusing margin calculations that change randomly. •Lack of clear warnings before restrictions hit—you just get blocked. Final Verdict: Avoid IBKR If you’re an active trader, IBKR will punish you at every step. Between the inability to hedge, their ridiculous spread margin requirements, the forced PDT restrictions, and the outdated, inefficient UI, this broker is not built for serious traders. There are better options out there that respect your ability to trade without babysitting or unnecessary restrictions. Bottom Line: IBKR is terrible for options traders, active day traders, and anyone who actually wants control over their account.

Good app but you should be able to login with 2fa through apple watch as well. Also please allow us to use an app like Google authenticator and not have to rely on push notifications

I must say waiting two days to take out money is not efficient for a day trader like myself. (One day for the money to stay in the app and one day to receive it in my bank). Although this app has its issues it’s incredible for long term traders but definitely lacks usability for other types of traders. The news and sentiment aspect is excellent and informative for a day trader like myself. The percent display changed when you add funds into the app, that is quite frustrating since I cannot really see how much I’ve made overall, when it says 600% its very impractical and messy. The app definitely requires some detailed work but as a whole is a very useful and secure app to deposit large sums of money. One of the main reasons why I trust them with my money.

Interactive brokers is the worst. They seem to routinely discriminate against younger people and only allow old people to access their best products. I’m 27 years old, series 65 licensed, have considerable investment experience and a substantial net worth. They won’t even let me have a margin account. What a joke

Downloaded the mobile app. Can’t say it’s good when it doesn’t let you login. Once I finally somehow got to log in on my phone through safari, some of the buttons don’t work. Also, cant log in again. They need to fix their app so it functions like a usual app for logging in. If just the login has issues, it implies there are significant issues with the app for many other functions, and due to that might be very risky to recommend it as a place where you invest your money. They definitely need to improve their app, and have it function like any other normal one.

Love the app overall but it needs couple updates that I’m sure most traders would agree on: Absolutely needs level 2 quotes for the mobile app. Crazy that they only offer just the top bid/ask on mobile. My only other gripe is the P&L info. I believe there could be a more in depth layout of days/months P&L info. This isn’t make or brake but would be nice. Please please please get that level 2 onto the phone app. I promise you many more people would sign up for level 2 quotes and IBKR would take in some more monthly $$$. Thanks
The latest version consistently sets up buy orders instead of sell orders after clicking sell order in the trading tool box. Extremely bad bug. Needs to be fixed urgently. If you don’t notice the error on the confirmation screen, then it can be very costly.
iPad can not find IB KEY
Not a reliable app to trade stock options - cannot trade opposite option if one order already is in 2. secretly hides commission charges unless report is ran on desktop and hard to comprehend
If you use IBKR, you will definitely have lower fees than other brokers. However, you will also get screwed on market orders so be aware of this.
Please add the ex date and pay date for dividends
IBKR has lots to improve on. It takes forever to reach support by phone, and then their support is not very helpful. Also, their trading platforms leave a lot to be desired compared to ThinkOrSwim. For example, the TOS Active Trader feature is great, but IBKR doesn’t duplicate this adequately.
Since 2nd to last update the fonts on option chains are showing very large. please fix this.
The recent updates are great, more responsive, much better than before.
The platform can be slow sometimes
Wanted to use IBKR but there are so many glitches on the iPad version of this that I closed my account. Their customer service also rates 0/10. Good luck getting them on the phone.
